About Aashish P Sommaiyaa:

Aashish Somaiyaa has over 21 years of experience in the asset management industry, most recently as the Executive Director & CEO of White Oak Capital Asset Management, part of White Oak group which is an investment management group managing assets of over 6 bn USD in the Indian equity for institutional and individual investors across the globe.

Ashish also served as the CEO and Managing Director of Motilal Oswal AMC for over seven years since January 2013. During his time at Motilal Oswal, it became one of the fastest-growing AMCs in India, starting with ₹1,300 crs., went on to managing over ₹40,000 crs. of equity assets across various categories, based on its time-tested BUY RIGHT: SIT TIGHT investing style. In 2018, Motilal Oswal was awarded Brand of the Year at the CNBCTV18 India business leadership awards and Aashish was awarded Distinguished Alumni of the Year by his alma mater NMIMS.

Aashish holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Polymer Science and a Masters in Management Studies in Finance from NMIMS, Mumbai.
