International Day of Women and Girls in Science. What motivated you to choose a science career?

Published
In recent years, the number of women in management positions or leading projects has increased. However, much work needs to be done to reverse this structural and systemic inequality, specially in the life sciences and healthcare sector, where only 26% of management positions in the BioRegion are held by women.

On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11), Biocat has interviewed four entrepreneurial scientists from the BioRegion of Catalonia. They talk about their experience, what motivated them to choose a career related to science, what it is like to run a company as a woman, how they confront gender inequality in senior management and how the gender gap in science could be reversed, in addition to sharing its female references within the sector.
