How to Reduce Conflict and Build Healthy Relationships | Conflict Management Skills

Published
Hello, I’d like to welcome every self-healer to this video. I hope you will find time to do your healing today. Conflict management skills are an essential part of every relationship. Every couple has conflict. The key to a healthy relationship is managing and resolving your conflict so that you can experience a deeper understanding and connection with your partner. We often see conflict as a disconnect or power struggle. If we are experiencing frequent arguments that don’t get resolved, we may bottle up our feelings. We end up feeling diminished or disregarded and we act defensively towards our loved ones. It’s natural to want to win arguments. However, we might win arguments at the cost of losing connection and intimacy. When I work with couples, I pay attention to HOW couples hold a conversation instead of resolving the conflict. The way couples communicate, and their attitude can greatly affect how the conflict is resolved.

The most promising way to resolve conflict is called the Win-Win solution. This happens when both partners work hard to find a solution that they both like. By working cooperatively and intentionally, couples can reach a resolution that builds trust, love and connection.

I’d like to stress the importance of awareness. Without awareness, we feel, think and behave unconsciously or habitually. I encourage you to create a space and time to reflect on your awareness. In this way, your awareness will help you discover Win-Win conflict resolution so that you and your partner will find long-lasting harmony and connection.
