Hello everybody, and welcome to today's webinar - How to Architect Your IT Department To Deliver Agility in a Digital Era - A webinar cosponsored by Omdia and Park Place Technologies.

Now I'll introduce our panel. Today I'm joined by Roy Illsley, Chief Analyst, Cloud and Data Center at Omdia, and Phil Godfrey, Solutions Architect at Park Place Technologies. Roy and Phil, how are you doing today?

I'll turn it over to Roy to kick off the presentation.

Welcome folks, and thanks for joining us. The topic is quite broad. So, obviously, in 40 minutes on this topic, we are not going to be able to give you details precise instructions on how to architect your IT department. But, we're going to be looking at some of the factors behind it.

The change in technology and economic landscape, the architectures that create the new challenges, and then... there is a slide which looks at the IT organization and how we believe the new architecture should look.

Now, this is not going to be a normal hearing me drone on - it's going to be more a conversation hearing me and Phil on the slides. So, what we'll do first of all, is we're going to ask you to participate.

There's a poll question - what will have the biggest impact on your technology decisions in the coming year? Climate, security, energy prices, chip shortage, workforce shortages, or a change in the way of working.

Are these the challenges that you're seeing? We have survey data that say what people think are the challenges?
