Why are the no British owned car makers? The British car industry was once the greatest in the world with legendary cars like the E-Type, Mini and Range Rover, but in the 60s and 70s British cars got a reputation for being unreliable and slow. Sales fell and a Government merger and nationalisation failed to make British Leyland viable. This video explores what happened to glorious British manufacturers like Bentley, Rolls Royce, Rover, Morris, Land Rover, Lotus and Jaguar.
