How Tanium Can Protect Your Organization Against the Azure OMI Vulnerability

Published
Recently, Microsoft issued a security advisory against multiple vulnerabilities for Open Management Infrastructure (OMI). OMI affects Linux VM’s running the OMS Agent in Azure, as well as other Linux systems that have an older version of the software.

To understand the criticality of the advisory, one of the vulnerabilities has a CVSS score of 9.8 out of the highest possible score of 10. Unfortunately, since OMI is installed automatically or as a dependency for management software, most customers were not even aware of the risk they were facing.

In this short video, we’ll show you how to use the risk and compliance management solution within the Tanium platform to protect your infrastructure against the Azure OMI vulnerability.
