Here is how much money I made in 2021 starting with number 1.

1. SPONSORSHIPS: $187,525
Sponsorships are ways for creators to talk about and promote their favorite brands and they’re usually 1 minute pre scripted segments that have to be approved by the brand in advanced and you have to hit certain talking points and you also have to disclose the fact that you were paid for doing them because it’s the law.

I’ve done relatively little of this year in fact you might not have even seen a single video of mine where I talked about any sponsors. I made $0 in 2019, $0 in 2020 but this year I did a few - I did Google Pay, Public, SoFi, and Omaze - I can’t tell you how much each brand paid but I can tell you that the grand total is $187,525. I also have an agency which negotiates those deals on my behalf and they take 20%. My take home was closer to $150,000 for sponsorships.

2. PATREON: 214,474
Patreon is sometimes confused for a donation service but it can be anything. A lot of creators will use Patreon to give early access to their videos, and extra perks and benefits for signing up that they otherwise wouldn’t have like personalized videos, messages and sometimes feet pictures - just kidding.

My Patreon is a hybrid between showing the stocks I buy and a stock tracker where you could plug in your favorite stock and it would track how much money you’d make automagically. I still use it to keep track of my dividend income so I can track my progress and it’s been an amazing tool so far but the long term goal is to build an app that will do this automagically somehow which I’m still working on.

3. MISCELLANEOUS: $108,247
The next sources of income are smaller chunks I’ll call Miscellaneous like m (https://www.zerotoamillion.com) class which is a series of videos that teach you how to do YouTube and how I went from $0 to a million. This one cost me $10,000 to make, I spent 3 months filming that series for maybe 2-3 hours a day. I never promote or advertise this one unless it’s in a video like this where I give an income breakdown and if I could go back and do it again - I probably wouldn’t because it was not a good use of my time with only one exception. I got to make some cool friends and meet some really awesome people that taught me a lot.

4. AD REVENUE: $1,164,236
In 2019 I was jobless and for the first half of the year, I worked 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, sleeping maybe 4 or 5 of those days and I earned roughly $1,000. That’s 288 hours a month, and based on how much I made, that works out to roughly $3.47 per hour. That’s less than minimum wage, that’s less than poverty. I did that for about 3-4 months before seeing any results. It was extremely hard to stay consistent especially if you don’t have another job. With that, I had to pay for food, my rent, and it was really hard. The only way I survived was that I got rid of all my expenses, I didn’t have a car, I didn’t own a house, I rented a room out on AirBnB which paid the rent, and I spent roughly $150 a month on food. Between that and my dividend income and a few occasional gigs, it got me through.

5. AFFILIATE REVENUE: $1,747,145
My biggest affiliate sources are Gemini, Coinbase, BlockFi, WeBull, Robinhood, and M1 Finance. Most of the performance of my channel is dependent on views which depends on what the market is doing. If investors are making money, I'm getting views. If the stock market is crashing, I'm getting views but anywhere in between and the views disappear.

GRAND TOTAL SO FAR: $3,393,915

6. INVESTMENT GROWTH: $1,000,000 - $1,500,000
Between my stock and crypto portfolios, NFTs, the home appreciation, the total is somewhere between $1 and $1.5 million dollars on top of that. So in reality my net worth increased between $4.4 to $5 million in 2021.
