Tessen are metal fans that the samurai used as emergency or hidden weapons. In the previous videos, we discussed the history and self-defense techniques of the Tessen that could be used today. If you haven’t seen these videos, please check them out too.

So today, Seki sensei, the 22nd headmaster of Asayama Ichiden Ryu with 400 years of history, will introduce the ways of fighting against a katana with Tessen. Is winning against a long katana with such a short weapon really possible?
