There are several different ways that a CFA charterholder might receive compensation. In this video we are going to dig into the CFA institutes annual compensation study to see how often people are getting paid with different sources like cash bonuses or stock. Then we will look at how much of their total compensation comes from each source. Some CFA charterholders make serious money.

98% of charterhoers receive some type of base salary. 85% of charterholders receive bonus or incentive compensation, and 25% of charterholders receive some long term incentive pay either through deferred cash compensation, or retrained earnings distributions through partnerships in the firms they work at or deal with. A
