Governance Week 2022 Day 2 Panel 1 with the Fair Trading Commissions in the Caribbean region

Carmel Hayes, executive director of BIBA served as moderator on Day 2 Panel 1 of Governance Week 2022. It featured the speakers who held the highest management positions in the Fair Trading Commissions in the Caribbean. They were Bevan Narinesingh from Trinidad and Tobago, David Miller from Jamaica and Troy Waterman from Barbados.
Governance Week is a 5 day conference organized by Caribbean Corporate Governance Institute.
The session was spent focusing on the topic- Engaging in Fair Trade. Understanding the importance of adhering to the fair trading act for directors to ensure the future betterment of their companies, possessing knowledge of the competition law as well as board members truly appreciating the impacts of consumer affairs were further discussed in this session.
