I have been fairly harsh on the new Football Manager that came out recently. It made no significant improvement to vital parts of the game outside of the match engine, and even the match engine had what I believed to be fatal flaws in it. Then Football Manager drops a huge patch for FM23 and perhaps, perhaps this could make some serious changes to my feelings about it all.

The match engine for FM23 was all based on the idea that it could improve in the future and that future is here. I think. I hope. This is early for a massive update to Football Manager so that gets me really excited to play it when I get back from my World Cup hiatus that I am on right now. In the meantime, I read the whole update notes page -- even the hidden one.
