FARMER STORIES: Bruce and Lachie Wilson, 'Murdeduke', Vic, Australia

Published
Bruce and Lachie Wilson discuss the need for high-level business management, and that without this, many family farms don't survive. Through his research as part of a Farming Systems Group supported by the GRDC, Robert transformed soil structure through a three-year rotation using an outdoor pig enterprise to build soil fertility for subsequent crops. This helped build business efficiencies and improved risk management. Lachie highlighted the need to be nimble and flexible to adapt to different market and weather conditions.

This video forms part of the eBook 'Farming the Business', a GRDC publication produced by Mike Krause of P2PAgri.
