Exploring Space: Thermal-Structural Analysis of a Lunar Rover Using Simcenter 3D

Published
The next scientific hub for space exploration might just be located on the Moon. As NASA partners around the world set their sights on sending humans to the lunar surface, the digital twin has a major role to play.

Simulation is used for thermal and structural analysis of lunar space systems to ensure reliability at all stages of operation.

In this Maya HTT and Siemens webinar, we take a look at three simulations developed in Simcenter 3D, and show the results of various sizing cases, and how these cases can easily be setup for analysis:
-Moon landing survival with random vibration analysis
-Thermal model for parameterized roving and heater sizing
-Thermo-elastic stress analysis using temperatures from roving model

Watch this webinar to learn how all these disciplines can be brought together in one environment where models can easily be updated based on design changes.
