Explainer: Safe Management Measures 1-5

The streamlining of Safe Management Measures, will commence from 15 March 2022.

These measures include:
1) Households can receive up to 5 visitors at any one time
2) Workplace social gatherings can resume for groups of up to 5 persons
3) Mask wearing remains the default indoors and outdoors
4) Safe distancing is no longer required in mask-on settings
5) Capacity limits removed for events and settings with 1000 people or fewer.

Minister for Finance and Co-Chair of the Multi-Ministry Taskforce Lawrence Wong was speaking at the Multi-Ministry Taskforce press conference on 11 March 2022.
