When executing any type of change within a business, we need to identify what the impacts of it will be in order to make sure we achieve value and the objectives we set out, and to minimise any risks or disruption as a result of implementing the change. Implementing change in an organisational environment is rarely easy- even when it's making things loads better or easier for people. Humans are naturally a little aversive to change and therefore we predict, assess, and plan for the impacts that change is likely to have ahead to give us a better chance of achieving our desired outcome. Change impacts usually fall within 3 broad categories: people, process or technology.
