EMA Cloud Rants - Log Everything

The importance of the "log everything"-paradigm often does not receive sufficient attention by developers and IT operations until the complexity of their microservices applications has grown to a point where optimizing application performance, usability, availability, and cost become a major pain point. "Log everything" refers to the ability to truly collect log data for all application stacks and devices in full resolution (without aggregation). In a next step, developers and operators need to be able to query these live log streams within context and attach real-times alerts to their queries.

In this EMA Cloud Rant, Geeta Schmidt (CEO, Humio, a CrowdStrike Company) and Torsten Volk, managing research director at Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) discuss how "log everything" can be achieved in real life.
