Welcome to our next episode of Big Data Talks, in which we have conversations with Industry Experts about the way in which data, machine learning and artificial intelligence are changing the way we live. My name is Jan-Willem Middelburg, and I will be your host today. I am the author of the Enterprise Big Data Framework, which is hosting this series of Big Data Talks. You can always watch back the recording of this discussion on YouTube, the Big Data Framework Website, and the podcasting platform on Apple Podcasts.

I am thrilled to be joined today by Dr. Ibrahim Kebbe, who is joining me from Lebanon today. Dr. Ibrahim is a lecturer at the American University in Beirut teaching in Project Management, Management Information Systems, Quantitative Methods and Technology Management. Additionally and an accredited instructor for the Enterprise Big Data Programs. Dr. Kebbe retrieved his doctorate from Hokkaido University in Japan and is a doctor in Systems and Information Engineering.

In this episode we will discuss Dr. Kebbes' experience as an Educator at the American University in Beirut, and the way that statistics and Big Data education has changed over the years. Dr. Kebbe will share his personal experiences from the time he wrote his doctoral dissertation, to the advice he would give himself if he were 18 years old again. Additionally, we will also discuss how Big Data solutions and algorithms can be applied to solve the world's most pressing problems, especially in light of the Climate Change conference in Glasgow this week.
