A video introducing viewers to seven cemeteries in counties along El Camino Real in Deep East Texas. This film was done on behalf of the Texas Chapter of the Association for Gravestone Studies for the AGS 2021 Virtual Conference. In chronological order: Caddo Mounds State Historic Site in Alto, Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Glenwood Cemetery in Crockett, Selman-Rourke Cemetery in Cherokee County, Pierce-Chapel Cemetery in Cushing, Enon Cemetery in Kennard, Sand Hill Cemetery near Chireno, and Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Nacogdoches. This includes a range of marker styles, materials, and motifs, histories, communities, and various approaches to cemetery management, historic and modern.
