Corporate Governance for Islamic NPO's Webinar: Launch of Governance Code - 30 October 2021

During this webinar, there was a launch of the governance code for the Islamic NPO’s. This is a culmination after hosting a series of webinars aimed at providing guidance for Islamic NPO’s.

The objectives of this code are to promote effective governance in Islamic
NPO’s to help ensure that these organisations are run in an exemplary and in accordance with the Shari’ah.

Good Corporate Governance contributes to the success of an NPO as it
enhances the functionality of its leadership structures and provides the
arrangements by which the governing body should govern the NPO that it is able to meet its strategic objectives.

The joint sponsors of this groundbreaking new code included:

AMAL (Association of Muslim Accountants and Lawyers)
AWQAF SA (National Awqaf SA Foundation of South Africa)
SANZAF (South African National Zakat Fund)
UUCSA (United Ulama Council of South Africa)

This was an MS Teams Webinar that was live-streamed to Salaamedia's YouTube and Facebook page.
