Vanita Hooloomann
MSc (Proj Man), BSc (Hons) QS, MAPM, MRICS, PQS
Vanita Hooloomann is an executive director at RLB Hooloomann. She joined in 2013 and specializes in quantity surveying and cost management. Vanita has about 15 years’ experience in project cost planning, financial monitoring, tender analysis, negotiation, contract administration among others and has provided services across multiple sectors in various countries including Mauritius, UK and the Middle East.
 
Vanita is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) UK. She is also a member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM) UK and of the Professional Quantity Surveyors’ Council (PQS) Mauritius. She holds a Master’s in Project Management and a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading, UK.

Jay Sooredoo graduated as Architect DPLG in Strasbourg, France in 1982 and worked 7 years in France before coming back to Mauritius in 1989. He completed his third mandate as council member of the PAC and handed over to Barender. He is passionate about passing knowledge and experience to the next generation of architects and is fully devoted to fulfil the goals of the PAC to empower young architects for a dedicated service to the nation and to encourage older colleagues to keep learning and innovating.

Nirupa Rughoo graduated in 1984. She worked at MPI (now MNI) for nearly 25 years. Retired as Principal Architect and joined Design Forum in 2010. Active member of MAA in the 1980’s. Chairperson of PAC in 1999/2000. She is currently member of PAC registration board. She has been involved in various types of projects ranging from hospital, educational, sports projects as well as residential ones. She has experience in contract management using PPO and FIDIC conditions of contract and in arbitration.

Avinash Ackiah is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer currently assuming the role of a Contracts Manger for Rehm- Grinaker and member of association of Project Manager UK and Project Management institute. He has in the past been a member of the Sectoral Committee on Construction with the HRDC. He has construction experience of approximately 20 years and has handled both Civil and Building contracts successfully over the years and currently leading the construction project of a Clinic in Curepipe.

Kim Currun is the Managing Director and Principal of KIMs Consulting Engineers Ltd. He has more than 30 years of extensive experience as a consultant for major projects in the Hotel and Leisure sector, in the development of office building, industrial and warehousing projects, residential apartments and sports infrastructure. He holds an honours degree in Civil Engineering and a Master Degree in Engineering Project Management . Kim is a Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE) and registered as a Chartered Engineer with the UK Council of Engineers. He is also a Member of the Chartered Association for Project Management (UK) and the Chartered Institute of Building. (MCIOB). He is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor (RICS). Locally, he is Registered Engineer with the Council of Professional Engineer (CRPE) and a Member of the Institution of Engineers (MIEM).

Hanna Boodhun-Ramjaun is an experienced professional of the construction industry. A Chartered Member of the RICS, she is a holder of a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and a Masters degree in Property Studies from the University of Cape Town. She spent more than 9 years with The General Construction Company Ltd in their QS department where she honed her commercial skills working on 100+ tender submissions & pre-qualifications under various contract structures and gained extensive experience in Contract Management & Administration under various Forms of Contract. She has recently joined Rey & Lenferna Ltd, one of the largest MEP subcontractors in Mauritius, as their new Commercial Manager for Projects & Services where she leads and manages the tendering, QS and procurement teams and oversees all contractual, financial and commercial aspects of on-going projects.
