Communities, Natural Capital and Carbon Credits

On 28 April 2022, Community Land Scotland presented a discussion focused on helping communities understand how the market for carbon credits work, how they can impact land values and availability of land, and what this might mean for communities that already own land, or are thinking of buying land.

Charlie Davis from Savills discussed the private sector market in carbon credits; James McDougall from the Woodland Trust discussed how they work with communities and Jon Hollingdale from the Community Woodland Association outlined what help is available to communities.
