City DPW meets to finalize waste-management plan, talks recycling

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works held its final public meeting Monday night to update its waste management plan. A primary topic of issue -- recycling. "Are they going to return to more frequent recycling-trash pick-up, and if not, who's going to do that?" asked resident Jennifer Washington. The city reduced services during the pandemic because of staffing shortages and equipment breakdowns. Curbside recycling collection shifted to bi-weekly pickup.
