Pinkie Luswazi, the founder and director of Luspin Manufacturers, says the Cape Skills and Employment Accelerator has helped her to re-establish her business, as well as empowered her with human resource management skills. “The Accelerator met us half way and that encouraged us to make the step in the business,” she says.
This Accelerator project, which is now open for another round of SMME applications, boosts skills development and capacitates SMMEs to improve and grow production – creating jobs and accelerating the recovery of the clothing and textile sector locally.
The Cape Skills and Employment Accelerator Project is a collaboration with the City of Cape Town and the National Skills Fund (NSF) to impact youth and women employment. The Accelerator is project managed by the Craft and Design Institute.
