Shadow Trade and Tourism Minister Kevin Hogan says the Treasurer should "acknowledge" the role of coal, gas, and iron ore industries in funding the nation's bills, despite opposition from the Labor Party and the Greens.
"We have three industries and three workers and investors to thank; he's going to have a budget surplus next week," Mr Hogan told Sky News Australia.
"Those three export sectors are generating about a $100 billion each every year, given the prices of where those three commodities are."
