The IoDSA’s Board Governance Forum has produced a paper, Governing Body Member Due Diligence. The paper provides both organisations and individual members with guidance on what to consider before nominating/appointing a potential governing body member or accepting a governing body position.

Conducting careful due diligence is a safeguarding mechanism for both organisations and prospective non-executive director’s to ensure that they are ultimately able to uphold the King IV principle of exercising ethical and effective leadership.
