Blockchain for Public Institution Applications - Blockchain Central Davos 2023

Published
Session: 'Blockchain for Public Institution Applications'

Governments and international organizations have increasingly been exploring blockchain applications outside of financial systems, including for supply chain traceability, land registration, identity management, and more. Through research, and eventually pilot programs, governments have continued to look at how the technology can be leveraged to create opportunities for their constituents. In the pursuit of innovation using blockchain, the challenge is balancing three key components: scalability, security, and decentralization. Many public institutions are tackling this challenge head on as they contemplate blockchain use cases across public services - join us as we explore how public institutions approach blockchain use cases and what considerations must be made when designing blockchain applications for the public sector.
