AP: Access RoadMap and The Dataverse Connector For Access, by Michael Aldridge

Published
Michael Aldridge, Principal Program Manager for Access, gave the AUG Access Pacific Chapter a lot to chew on.

He reviewed and explained the Updated RoadMap For Access, with current dates for planned enhancements.

He presented the results of an intense effort to provide a Dataverse Connector for Access.
This new connector allows Access developers to leverage the power of Access and the security and low-overhead of Dataverse as an alternative data storage location.
Dataverse is designed to work with the Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerBI, PowerAutomate) to support low-code/no-code solutions.
Hybrid solutions with Access, Dataverse and PowerApps allow Access developers to create robust solutions for a cloud-based world.
