“Houston workshop"
Al Baheej Institute is an online institute. It was inaugurated in 2009. Since then, this institution has produced a cohort of students. Apart from America, students from England and Australia are also among the beneficiaries of this institution.
On the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of July, a two-day academic and intellectual workshop was held in Houston, the USA, organized by Al-Baheej Institute, in which students and professionals interested in knowledge and research participated. Speakers delivered extended sermons on Islamic and contemporary topics. Apart from Raqim, distinguished friend Dr. Khushtar Noorani spoke with great rationality in English on "Religious History of the Subcontinent and its Impact on American Muslims". The participants listened with great interest. After the talk, the atmosphere of question and answer and inquiry was spectacular. This topic was of great interest to the youth from the subcontinent who have grown up in America, so they showed great interest in the question and answer. The participants expressed a negative opinion about importing the subcontinent's group differences to America, they believed that American Muslims need something else and that Muslims living in America are not interested in the subcontinent's group differences. But they seem to agree that those who are strongly opposed to its promotion are having a negative impact on American society.
The workshop also hired a psychiatrist who shed light on post-corona mental illness and its effective treatment, which was well received by the participants.
A practical session on purification and behavior was also held for which the time of tahajjud was fixed. The responsibility of this part was carried out beautifully by the director of Al-Baheej Institute. It was mandatory for the participants to first offer Tahajjud prayer and then attend this training session before Fajr. In this way, both Saturday and Sunday began with the Tahjud prayer and ended with the gathering of Azkaro, Arad, and Burda after Isha.
It was the first program of its kind in America under Al-Baheej Institute which has left a deep impression on the hearts of the participants. The management of Al-Baheej has committed to conduct this workshop at least three times a year.
Al-Baheej organized this program in association with the Houston-based American Muslim Organization (AMO). It is an American youth organization that plays a role in the cultivation of young generations growing up in America. The management of Al-Baheej Institute is grateful to the American Muslim Organization and prays for their growth.
