Artificial intelligence. Drones. Self-driving cars. Today’s world of fast-paced innovation seems to cry out for a more agile approach to regulation that can better harness the potential of innovation as well as mitigate its risks.
In this online dialogue organized by the Penn Program on Regulation, leading regulatory experts discuss what agile regulation is, why it is needed, how it already is being implemented in government—and how to make it more effective.
Panelists include Ed DeSeve (National Academy of Public Administration), Michael Fitzpatrick (Brunswick Group), Yael Kariv-Teitelbaum (PPR/Hebrew University), Heidi King (formerly National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), Larry Rosenthal (UC-Berkeley), and Paul Verkuil (Administrative Conference of the United States). PPR Director Cary Coglianese moderates the conversation.
