Published
The Australian Defence Force will help evacuate residents from central Kimberley regions in Western Australia.

The embattled region continues to suffer heavy flooding following damage wreaked by ex-Tropical Cyclone Ellie.

Federal Minister for Emergency Management Murray Watt confirmed the ADF will provide aircraft and personnel to help residents within the area.

In the town of Fitzroy Crossing, the main bridge remains under water and an evacuation centre is nearing capacity.
