Adeola Adefemi is an award winning public school teacher with a passion for the promotion of quality education for children, especially the marginalized ones in her community.

She is a Fulbright alumni, a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator and a member of Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). An innovative teacher who trains kids in and out of school. She has trained students who have won numerous state, national and international competitions like the Commonwealth Day Inter-Schools Competition, United Nations Poetry Competition, BRF Essay Competition ( United Kingdom) , Blooming Minds National Writing Competition, Teenage Festival of Life (2016,2017,2018,2019) , to mention a few. Today , a good number of her students are on scholarships in and outside Nigeria.

She is one of the recipients of the JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Nigeria 2019, winning for Academic Leadership & Accomplishment. She is also one of the winners of #Maltinathatoneteacher , CreditDirect Outstanding Teacher of the Year and Top 3 EAD Essay Competition. In 2020, she was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship in the United States. The Lagos State Government ( District 1) awarded her the Most Outstanding Staff for year - 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, inclusive of numerous Commendation Letters. Sixty of her students were inducted as ambassadors for the state.

Adeola , regarded as “That Public School Teacher” on social media platforms has distinguished herself with her engaging personality , great classroom management skills and genuine love for children. An advocate for the uniqueness of every child, regardless of physical, academic or social limitations. She is currently working on an educational application for students with learning disabilities and a community project that was the national finalist for the Diamond Global Challenge 2019. She is the founder of the 'Every Child Counts Club', a club that campaigns for gender equality and equity in school with the use of plays , poetry and song presentations. The campaign is also inclusive of free skills acquisition programmes.

She is an avid reader and writer. She has written and directed plays for Lagos State Festival of Life and her poem was presented at Lagos at 50 celebration. Her favourite quote is by Malala Yousafzai, “ One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”
