Key Note Speech at Risk Management Society of Nigeria (RIMSON)

On April 18 and 19, 2024, the Risk Management Society of Nigeria held its annual 2024 National Risk Management Conference, at the famous @RadisonBlu in Ikeja Lagos, where experts in several aspects of #riskmanagement gathered to discuss evolving trends and the state of risk management globally and in #Nigeria.

I delivered the keynote speech on Global Disruptions: Opportunities for National Resurgence. In my speech, in addition to calling for upping #riskmanagement skill sets, I highlighted the relevance of this unique field of #security in a VUCAD environment and how, with the right approach, #challenges can be turned into #opportunities and #resilience achieved. I also called on the Office of the National Security Adviser to embed this capability.

Additionally, the President of RIMSON, Gus Wiggle. advocated for the entrenching of #riskmanagement in government practices including the creation of the office of the Chief Risk Officer of the Federation.

RIMSON was established in 1985 as an association of corporate bodies and individual members dedicated to the advancement of risk management awareness and culture in hashtag#Nigeria.
